E-paper visitor badges and the docking station that writes them. Two pieces of hardware, designed and made in Sweden, built to be handed out and returned thousands of times.
The badge shows the visitor's name in high-contrast e-paper. It holds the image with no power at all, and the badge has no battery to charge.
The dock sits on the reception desk. When a visitor checks in, it writes their name to the badge.
A printed sticker costs little and is thrown away every time. Over a year, at a reception with real traffic, that adds up.
No label rolls to reorder, no printer to jam at the worst possible moment, and no cost that scales linearly with how busy you are.
A crisp e-paper badge on a branded card reads differently from a curling adhesive label. Visitors notice, and so do the people they came to see.
Handing the badge back is a physical prompt to check out — which is what keeps the evacuation list honest.
One badge replaces hundreds of single-use stickers over its life.
A label printer needs a new label for every visitor, plus label rolls to reorder and a printer to keep running. A Reonoma badge costs 349 SEK once and is rewritten thousands of times. A starter kit with a docking station and five badges is 6 450 SEK. After that a visit costs nothing in consumables, there is no printer to jam while the guest waits, and the badge comes back instead of going in the bin. The full comparison, including when the printer is still the right choice.
